It is an emergency contraceptive (“morning-after pill”) containing ulipristal acetate 30 mg. It is used after unprotected sex or contraceptive failure to reduce the chance of pregnancy. It can be taken up to 120 hours (5 days) after unprotected sex, although earlier is better.
