The drug is used to treat patients with high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and in children from 6 years. It protects the kidney from damage caused by diabetes, especially in patients with laboratory results of impaired renal function and proteinuria (where urine contains an abnormal amount of protein), and to treat patients with chronic heart failure.
